Perks of being a parent.. the bright side

10. Losing sleep. Never have I realised how important sleep actually is, until I had a baby. I feel like I’ve forgotten how a good night’s sleep is and don’t even get me started on a lay in on the weekend. What is a lay in?? However, the smile on my daughters face when I come to rescue her from her cot prison is priceless and maybe… just maybe worth losing sleep for.

9. No privacy. I can’t go to the bathroom for a shower or a poo. I can’t sit at my dressing table alone. I cant change my clothes without her staring at me. She follows me everywhere!! On the bright side it’s refreshing to see how curious she is. It means she is trying to learn things and work out her boundaries.  Plus, life can be a little lonely sometimes so it’s nice to have company.

8. Sharing food. I can’t remember the last time I had a plate of food to myself. E will scavenge and take anything she fancies and I end up having barely any food left to eat myself. There is a perk in this, being someone who never finishes their meal! With E around, I can eat what I want and give her half of it aswell. This means no food is wasted and we are both happy!

7. No attention. Everyone wants to know how the baby is doing. Everyone asks about her and she dominates the entire conversation.  Don’t mind me, sitting here with a stiffly nose and a sore face from an oncoming cold… just ask about my child! It is great though to fly under the radar and for a socially awkward person like myself, having an easy topic to talk about makes the conversation easier. Confession time – I LOVE taking E to parties and social gatherings.

6. Your name. This is a weird one but I barely get called by my name now.  I’m just mum. I feel like I’ve lost my identity a little. On the bright side, I adore being a mother and when E calls  me Mama, my heart just melts.

5. Cartoons. I now know every Mickey mouse episode and Peppa Pig episode by heart now. It is on repeat in my house. However I actually love watching Cartoons so now I have an excuse to actually watch it.

4.Problem Solver. That is my main job now. I have to work out what she wants, why she wants it and why she doesn’t want it anymore. My head is spinning at the end of it. On the bright side it’s keeps my brain active and we learn more about each other.

3. Limitations. There are certain things I can’t watch around her and also certain things I can’t say. I feel like I am constantly on watershed! However, this helps me more than  anyone. The less I swear, the better I feel about myself!

2. Child friendly. When you have kids you start to see the world differently. I don’t walk on the road like normal- I look for dropped kerb with the pushchair. I can’t eat out unless there is a highchair and crayons to keep E busy. I can’t stay out late in the evening as she gets overtired. On the bright side though, it makes me appreciate life more!

1.Time. Time is just flying by. She’s 2 now and before I know it, she will be 10. If I turn around and blink, I’ve missed something! Enjoy it will it lasts…Kids don’t stay kids for long…..

La La Land

I haven’t blogged in a while but I recently watched La La Land and just needed some way to express my feelings about it.

It’s important to note that I didn’t know anything about this movie other than the fact that it had Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in it and that it was a musical. I kept seeing it advertised and thought hey, better go watch it!

What an experience. What a movie. Honestly my first impressions were a bit dubious. The first scene is a song which is quite cheesy, but the media student in me recognised that it was filmed in one take and my interest was sparked.

The story is a little typical. A jazz pianist and an aspiring actress fall in love whilst trying to make their dreams come true. Whilst that is the synopsis, this film is so much more than that. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the main leads. They work together so well and it all feels so real!

The music was probably the best part. I’ve been streaming the soundtrack on Spotify for a few days now. On repeat. In the car. In my bedroom. I can’t stop! Mia and Sebastian’s tune sends chills down my spine when I hear it and I am in love with City of Stars. A Lovely Night and Audition are also firm favourites.

I have to be honest, I don’t understand why this musical has hit me so hard. I watch a lot of movies and have seen a few musicals. Somehow, La La Land keeps circulating in my head, to the point of obsession. It could be because of the ending.  I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but the ending destroyed me, so maybe that’s why I keep thinking about it.

Overall, I highly recommend. The scenes were beautifully shot, the music and choreography is amazing and the storyline is really realistic.

Back again….

I haven’t blogged for a little while and I’m not sure how I feel about it.  My laptop simply refused to work one sunny day in July and it wasn’t fixed until late August. ( it has felt like years but it’s only been a few months. Dramatic much? )By then, too much time had passed and I didn’t feel like writing.

It’s odd but I started this blog to record things and moments with my nearly 2 year old and it became more about reviews and products. I really do love reviewing stuff but surely not every single post has to be about products?

I am now stripping it back and going back to just simply blogging because I love it. I have cancelled my beauty box subscriptions – oh Glossy box, how I shall miss thee – and hopefully this space will be full of posts that really relate to who I am.

I hope you all stay on this journey with me!

My Little Coconut Box | BEAUTY

I was quite intrigued to see what I would get in my My Little Box this month. Last month was quite good and with a summer theme, I didn’t know how they would top it. For some reason, this month I didn’t even visit the My Little Box Facebook page, to see what hints they were giving about the July theme. Imagine my HORROR when I opened the parcel to find that this month’s theme was COCONUT!!!

For those who don’t follow my blog and know from previous reviews, I am actually allergic to coconut. It’s quite annoying as coconut is healthy and good for you. It also happens to be a key ingredient in beauty products AND it’s completely on trend right now. *sigh* So, my heart sank and my expectations dropped before I had even opened the box.

So this is what I received this month:

2016-07-11 16.53.36

Regardless of the theme, I have to admit that the box does actually look quite pretty. Unfortunately, I won’t be keeping this one as it just annoys me and reminds me of how I am missing out on coconut!

2016-07-11 16.46.32

The very first thing in the box was the usual print. It seems quite funny to me now, but I was looking at every single item slowly and wondering whether the next would be related to coconut or not! The print is actually really pretty but I just don’t see any use for it, so I’m afraid it will go in the recycling bin!

I love when MLB wrap the products up so you can’t see what they are straight away. Obviously this one says passport holder on the front, but I didn’t actually see it straight away and didn’t know what was inside. I love the envelope and the bow on the back is such a pretty touch! Even better than that, is the actual passport holder. Look how cute it actually is. I LOVE the print. It feels so summery but at the same time, I would keep my passport in it for any season. The quality seems really good and my passport does look good inside. I am actually really happy with this product, as I was looking to purchase one. I am due to go on holiday in a few months and knew that purchasing a passport holder would be ideal in the long run. Now I don’t have to!

2016-07-11 16.47.11

The next item also came wrapped up in a box. I thought it might be make up of some sort, but then I saw the Stella&Dot logo on the side and knew that it would be jewellery. I was pleasantly surprised at the bracelet as it’s really cut! I love the little tassle at the end and the gold is really pretty. Obviously I went to try it on straight away and then came the issues. Firstly, I couldn’t get it on. The size is REALLY teeny tiny so it’s hard to slip on. I then undid the clasp and tried to put it on, which did work. However, I couldn’t get the clasp to hook on. Whilst trying to do that, the other end of the chain broke and I had only had it for 5 minute. How disappointing! I did email Customer Services and they kindly arranged for a replacement to be sent out to me, so that was quite nice!

Okay, onto the beauty products now!

2016-07-11 16.49.10

So far I had gotten away with products that did not contain coconut. My joy was short lived as along comes this face mist. It is a My Little Beauty own product and it’s basically after sun in a mist form. This would have been a PERFECT product to take on holiday with me, had it not been for the pure coconut in it. I knew straight away that I would not be able to use this.

2016-07-11 16.49.43

Onto the second product and would you look at that. ANOTHER product containing coconut. This is a perfume, from Yves Rocher. I was quite annoyed that I couldn’t use it, but I will be passing this along to one of my sisters, or maybe a friend at work. It is a sample size, but it’s also quite a generous sample. I like the packaging, but I can’t really use it!

2016-07-11 16.49.58

The last beauty product is a hand gel. At first I was disappointed because it’s quite a boring product to get. After looking at the info cards, I changed my mind as this would be perfect to take on holiday. Unfortunately, I then spotted the Coco Rico sign – this contains pieces of coconut. So, all 3 beauty products were part of the Coconut theme.

As a bonus item, MLB also sent a sample of this oil. It is meant to help dry and damaged hair. It does look pretty good and I have had a look through the ingredients, which do not show coconut extracts in it, so that is great news! I have not tried it out yet, but will report back on whether it made a difference to my hair or not.

I feel quite split about this box. On one hand, 3 products are completely worthless to me. I cannot use them as they contain coconut. I am annoyed about the fact that they were all the beauty products. On the other hand, the other 2 lifestyle items were really well though out. The value of them is more than the whole box. If it wasn’t for the fact that the bracelet broke, I would actually still be satisfied with this months box.

Birchbox July Review | BEAUTY

This month, the Birchbox arrived later than normal! Since I joined, they have always sent the box in the first week of every month. This time, I was waiting two weeks! Needless to say I was VERY excited when it came through the post. I have also been thinking about cancelling my subscription, just simply because I subscribe to 3 different boxes and I don’t really need to! More on that later. I thought the design of this months box was very cute.

2016-07-09 18.25.41

Onto the contents of the box!

2016-07-09 18.29.58

LOC Millie Ultra Gloss Lip Pencil in Bohemian Rose

RRP £9 (full size)

2016-07-09 18.28.31

All subscribers knew this box would include this lip pencil, designed by Millie Mackintosh herself. I was intrigued to see what the formula would be like and how long lasting it would be. Firstly, I love the packaging. I think the LOC brand looks so expensive (and it really is not) plus the shade that Millie picked is actually really nice. I normally don’t gravitate towards pinks because I am a little darker skinned, so sometimes it washes out my lips. However, I love this product. The formula is creamy and very long lasting. I wore it for work and it stayed put the entire day. It is a little sticky when first applied, but then you can barely feel it. I think I will be investing in some more colours and the matte lip pencils as well!

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day In Shower Treatment

RRP £9.99 (full size)

2016-07-09 18.27.38

All subscribers were also given a choice of which full size John Frieda product they wanted in their box this month. You could pick the in shower volume treatment, or the Frizz Ease Primer. I already own the Frizz Ease, so I decided to go for the volume treatment. Unfortunately, I did not get very far with trying it out as I could not get the pump to work. I have twisted it in every direction I can think of, but nothing comes out of the pump. The only way I can get any product out of it, is to actually unscrew the cap and turn the product upside down! I will try to get my husband to have a look at it for me, as I may be doing something wrong. Still look forward to trying it out though. It seems pretty easy – shower and condition hair. Then apply 3-4 pumps of the product onto the roots and underside of hair. Wait 3 minutes, then wash out!

Nails Inc.

RRP £15 (sample size)

2016-07-09 18.28.16

I really enjoy getting nail polish in my box, because I love it. Nails Inc are such a good brand and not one I would normally buy, due to how expensive they are. I was a little annoyed at the teeny tiny sample size that was sent this month. I was even more annoyed at the colour. It’s a horrible pale pink, that will 100% look bad on me, as my skin is a little darker and this type of pink does not suit me. The icing on top of the cake was when i tried to open it to try out. I could not get it open. This was different to the John Frieda product as the only way to open it is to unscrew the lids and the lid will not budge. I went onto Birchbox’s Faceboook page and found that some other people had the same issue. I have sent them a message now, to see if I can get another one. Disappointed in this!

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water

RRP £15 (travel size)

2016-07-09 18.27.59

In the first Birchbox I received, I was sent a full size Bioderma Micellar Water, which was one of the best things I received from them. I am almost at the end of it now – meaning it has lasted me 5 months – so I was happy to get another brand to try out! I haven’t tried it yet, but the reviews on the brand look really good. If it works, I will probably buy it from the Birchbox shop itself. It’s also a good size to take on holiday.

Elemis Hydra Boost Day Cream

RRP £39 (travel size)

2016-07-09 18.27.48

I knew I was not going to get away with not getting a cream. I have so many samples just sitting around, waiting for me to try out. This will just be added to that box. I currently do not have a good skincare routine, so I need to sort that out before I can try out day creams. You are normally meant to use them after cleansing. I will have to report back on this. The sample size is quite good though, as its small enough to take in a travel bag but big enough to try it out properly!

This box was quite a good mixture. They covered skincare, nails, make-up, hair and face. Obviously I was disappointed with 2 products not opening(!) but I will try and get that all sorted out. I still need to browse through the Birchbox shop and buy something with the points I have accumulated and I also am not sure whether I want to stick with the subscription or not. Having said that, this month I will use every single product, so it isn’t really THAT bad. Next months sneak peek is a Birch BAG which seems interesting!

June Favourites! | FAVOURITES

I feel like I haven’t blogged in ages! Last month was absolutely hectic and I haven’t had any time until now to post my June favourites, even though we are in July now! Anyway, this is what I have loved in the month of June.

BABY Animals

This month E has been into all types of animals. She is getting older and at 20 months, she is noticing animals. We have 2 cats at home and she absolutely loves them. She will follow them around, play with them and just love them. I think it’s so cute and even though my cats are both adult cats now, they still don’t mind playing with her. I have noticed it more this month, but she is also really into dogs! Every time we go to a friends house and they have a dog, you can see her eyes light up. I love the fact that she is into animals because as a child, I never had a pet. I didn’t understand the love for an animal and I am happy that she will.

BOOKS Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

This book has been made into a film this month, but for some reason, I had just not even read the book ( I 100% want to see the film!) My sister purchased it and was so emotional after reading it, that I had to read it myself. Me Before You is about a young woman who loses her job and doesn’t know what to do with her life. She ends up taking the only available job as a carer for a man who was left severely disabled after a motorcycle accident. This story as about their lives and how they combine. It is beautiful. I cannot describe it, in any other way. Regarding the story line, I have read many books with the same one. For me though, this book stood out. It is written beautifully. Every single character is likeable. I don’t really know who I would pick as a favourite. I felt sorry for Will (the disabled man) because of his situation, but I also loved Thomas (the main characters baby nephew!) If you haven’t read it already, I would totally recommend it. It is a perfect book.

Big Brother 2016

Big Brother is finally back and I am loving it. I watched Big Brother back when Davina was the  presenter but I only watched the launch night and the eviction shows. After I got married, my husband was a huge fan, so I would watch it with him and now I love it. If you have never heard of it, Big Brother is a reality TV show, where 12 people are thrown into a house together with no communication from the outside world. When it first started, it was a social experiment and has now just turned into entertainment. I think I featured the Celebrity version in a favourites post a few months ago. This time round, it’s just normal people. I just love the personalities and the drama.

Devious Maids

I just started watching this show and I am in love already. My little sister kept telling me to watch it but for some reason I kept putting it off. (Like I did with Suits, Switched At Birth, Once Upon A Time – I should really listen to my sister) I was looking for something to watch the other week and came across Devious Maids, on Sky Box Sets. Since I have all the episodes, I thought, why not! I loved it from the first five minutes. Devious Maids is about 5 maids who look/clean after rich families. The show follows the main 4 maids after the 5th one is murdered. The maids are all latina, which is pretty cool. Eva Longoria produced the show and you can tell, because it is so much like Desperate Housewives. She has even used some of the same actors! Even so, I like the story it tells. The maids are hilarious and each have their own issues. There is a mother and daughter – the daughter Valentina, is in love with her employers son and the mother, Zoila, is trying to protect her. Then you have Rosie, who is a maid for a famous couple and she is trying to bring her son to America. Next is Carmen, a wannabe singer, who is a maid for a famous singer and is trying to get him to listen to her music. Finally, Marisol, who is looking after 2 families  and doesn’t seem like she is actually a maid…

It’s awesome, so watch it!

I am currently typing up this post in my PJ’s. They have become my best friend during this month. As I am on holiday from work for most of the month, I tend to not bother with getting changed. I just keep changing into different PJ’s but not in day clothes. They are just so comfortable and I own so many pairs. I actually think that I have a bit of an obsession with owning different types of PJ’s! At the moment, my favourite is probably the Harry Potter ones. By the way, I get all of my pyjamas at Primark, because that shop is so cheap and so awesome for PJ’s!

APP Cooking Tale

I first started playing this game on Facebook. It is another cooking game where you have to serve different dishes and meet different goals every level. I loved it but it was hard to play on my laptop – too slow and I would just get annoyed. This month I found it in the Play Store and was overjoyed. I absolutely love it. I pretty much play it at least a few times a day and love the challenges. Some levels are easy but honestly, most of the levels are ridiculously hard to play. It is free and well worth getting!

MUSICGnash ft Olivia O’Brien – I hate you, I love you

I haven’t listened to a lot of music this month, but this particular song does stand out. At first, I didn’t like it because I thought the lyrics were weird. Then, I actually listened to it properly and the lyrics are what makes this song so good! It is such a realistic thing that they are talking about and the melody is really good. I have never heard any other song from both artists, so it is good to find something new.

Stressed Out.. | RAMBLINGS

When I started this blog, it was mostly about life with a baby. Over time, it became more about reviews and opinions, but that’s okay. Sometimes, I just want to vent though. My daughter is 20 months old now. I keep thinking 21 for some reason, but her birthday is in October, so 20 months is correct! She has always been very independent and normally a really fuss-free, happy child. Every one always said I was lucky, as she ate EVERY thing I gave her, slept through the night, didn’t cause me any issues and was just generally a lovable baby. If anything, she was a bit cold – she didn’t like hugging or anything like that.

Now that she is nearly 2, I am going through a nightmare. I know that this is meant to happen, but I am just shocked at how different she is. I am having so many issues with eating. I make all the same meals and she picks at it. She used to love vegetables and now she won’t even glance at them. Some days she is fine, but most days, I have a daily battle with food. Her sleeping pattern has also changed. She does still sleep through the night, but she doesn’t always nap. That might sound okay to you, but nap time is my RELAXING time! It’s the only time in the day that I get a few hours to myself to just do nothing. Well, let’s be honest, I use the time to do housework and other chores, but still. I’m just me again.

If that wasn’t enough, the biggest change has been her personality. She is a bright little funny girl and I love her, but she has become super clingy. If I am not in her line of vision, she starts whimpering. She moans all the time and whines. For no reason. I love the hugs and the kisses but sometimes I just want to sit on my own. I don’t understand why she only does this to me though and not her dad, or the rest of the family? I also know this sounds like I am complaining, but I am just trying to get my head around it.

I know the days will go by fast and soon she won’t want a hug, or she will start to choose what she wants to do. I just am overwhelmed by it all and she isn’t even 2 yet. For all those with young children, how long do I have to wait before I can have a long shower again? Or have my meal to myself? Go the toilet in peace without an audience? Lie in?

My Little Summer Vibes Box | BEAUTY

I completely forgot to review this months My Little Box! I think I was a little overwhelmed with how many different beauty boxes I received this month and just forgot about this one! Never mind. This month, the theme was summer.I actually really liked the design of the box as it’s a little different to what they normally do.

Anyway, onto the contents of the box:

2016-06-09 17.57.08

2016-06-09 17.52.45

I think that I have actually received tea from My Little Box before. Yes I think it was Kusmi Tea, but loose instead. I have never drank iced tea if I am honest so this is something new to try. I absolutely love tea so it isn’t a bad thing to get. I guess Iced Tea is a big thing to drink in the summer but somehow the thought of tea being cold just sounds really weird to me! Anyway, it looks good and smells very nice. I will have to report back once I have tried it.

2016-06-09 17.53.012016-06-09 17.53.45 When I first saw this rolled up in the box, I tried to guess what it was. Keeping in mind the theme of the box, I assumed it might be a towel, but it was too light. I then was adamant that it must be some kind of cover up at the beach. I didn’t expect a top! It is more of a vest top and it’s also actually REALLY big for me. On the back it says one size, so I guess they have to cover everyone. Regardless, it is a nice little thing to include. The material is lovely and I like the phrase! Since it is so big, I am not entirely sure if I will actually be wearing it. I will try it out though – maybe with a skirt underneath, so it’s tucked in?

2016-06-09 17.54.06

2016-06-09 17.55.23 Next up is the beauty pouch. Oh, but wait a minute. That’s not a pouch. I LOVE how they have changed this months pouch to a little bag, which actually counts as a product as well. At first I thought it was a little bag to keep products in when you travel but then I noticed the bikini on the front of it – yes, I’m very vigilant – and it’s actually a bag for your swim wear! This will really come in handy for me as I will be going on holiday in a few months. It looks like it’s a water proof material and it just really looks nice as well! Really happy with this.

2016-06-09 17.55.12

Now, onto the actual products inside the bag. First up is the beach hair spray. I am sure I will try it out when I am on holiday, but I wasn’t too fussed about it. I don’t really like things like this as they almost always don’t suit me. This is My Little Beauty’s own brand product and it does look like it’s a full size one as well. I also really like the design. It does look very summery! I think you are supposed to just spray it on, to keep your hair healthy and fresh! Come to think of it, my hair is REALLY bad on holiday. When it get’s hot and humid, my hair just wont sit right, so this actually might be a really good product!

2016-06-09 17.54.49

Next up, a nail polish from Ciate. Now, this is a great brand and the formula is always amazing. I was disappointed to get a mini though and I am not really a fan of the colour. I have darker skin, so I prefer having slightly darker colours on my nails. Light colours really make my skin colour stand out more, for the wrong reasons! Still, I can’t complain about nail polish. Even though we do get a few of these in My Little Box, I don’t mind. I would much rather get a full size though!

2016-06-09 17.54.35

Finally, the last product. Now, when I spotted the brand I was immediately excited. I love Too Faced. I LOVED the Melted lipstick in one of the earlier boxes and I thought this was an eyeliner at first. Sadly, it’s primer for glitter. I do not wear glitter on my eyes, simply because I do not have the time. With a 21 month old, it’s just impossible to spend that much time on make up when we all go out! This will be going to some one else in my family so they can make good use out of it!

I think the box was quite good this month. There are one or two products that I won’t use, but it was a good mixture!

Until next time!

Glossy Box June Review | BEAUTY

Clearly this month will include summer items. I feel like I have only just posted my last review on this box, but it’s that time again! I loved the collectors edition box last month and was a little disappointed with the standard box. Although it separates them from other beauty boxes, I feel like Glossy Box should make featured boxes. It would just make the use of the box easier. Although, I know a lot of people who use the empty boxes in their dressing tables, for make up. That is quite a good idea, to be fair.

2016-06-10 12.26.03

Anyway, the new Glossy Card is pretty cool. I think it was the same last month, but before that, the card was presented in a different way. I like how they photograph the items and how they list the items on the card. I also like reading what the Editor has to say about this month’s box. This month I had enough Glossy Dot’s to get the box for free. If you didn’t know, Glossy Dots are basically points that you earn for reviewing each product. I think you get 20 points for each survey completed and you need 1000 Glossy Dot’s to get a free box.

So this is what I received inside:

2016-06-10 12.30.44

FULL SIZE £19.99

2016-06-10 12.27.44

This is going to come in handy when I go on holiday, later in the year. My husband suffers more from sunburn. I also will need protection, but for some reason I don’t tan or burn. Is it because I’m brown skinned? I don’t know. Regardless, I know that I still need protection from the sun’s rays. This is a spray sun screen which is a good idea. I hate the idea of applying a cream onto my face and skin. I will definitely be using this when I am away.

2016-06-10 12.28.13

Another tiny sample size. That is what I thought when I picked this out of the box. Origins is a well known brand, so I was happy to receive a product from them, but why such a small sample. This is an eye cream for reducing bags and dark circles. I suffer with both, so this product is welcomed! I tried a little bit and my under eye section does feel a bit better. It doesn’t feel puffy but at the same time, I think I prefer those roller ball eye creams that instantly refresh the under eye area. Also, this sample size turned out to be really good because you genuinely only need a teeny tiny bit.

2016-06-10 12.28.30

Now I wasn’t too happy when I read the sneak peek last month, as it showed this product. I really do not like lip/cheek tints and feel like they are a waste of money. When I spotted this product, I had forgotten that it was a tint and could not believe how runny the product was! After reading the product card, I was satisfied with the fact that it was actually a tint and tried it out. I applied it in small dots on my lips and blended it in with my fingertips. I have to say, that it isn’t a bad look. On those moments where you just need a quick refresh, or days that you don’t want to wear make up, but don’t want to look dead, this is suitable to use. It just refreshes your lips and makes them look a bit alive. I like that it isn’t sticky as well.

2016-06-10 12.29.12

If I wasn’t going on holiday, I would have been quite annoyed at receiving this, but I am happy! After Sun is important and even though I don’t tan or burn, my skin is still exposed to the sun. You use this cream after you are out of the sun and it just soothes it. This particular product also helps maintain a tan (if you want one) and smells nice! I like the packaging of the bottle as well.

I am far too lazy to exfoliate but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to. I was intrigued with this product and look forward to using it. It’s a sponge that you can use in the shower and it is made in Japan. Apparantly Konjac sponges are made from the natural fibres of konjac, which is a root vegetable, native to Asia. It is known for it’s ability to hold water. I guess that’s good when it comes to traits of a sponge! You are meant to soak it in water water, squeeze and then massage over the skin using circular motions. The card also states that you can use a foam cleanser with it, which I will be doing! This was a good product to add to the box.

This was a bonus product in the box, as we have already received 5 products. I think it is quite a good sample size to give. I would normally be annoyed with a hair product but since I’ve tried to Naobay hair masks from previous Glossy Boxes, I don’t mind treatments for the hair! I also think that this does not have coconut in it, so I am able to use it. I don’t have damaged hair, but it would be good to give it a good condition, so I am quite happy with this product! The card does state that a full size bottle would cost £1.09. Somehow I think that was a misprint or the sample size cost. I have had a look on Boots and it’s £4.99 at the moment, for a 250ml bottle.

After 3 awful boxes, I am quite happy with the June box. If I wasn’t going on holiday, I would have been disappointed, but it has worked out for me this month. The sun protection products will be used on holiday, the hair conditioner and eye cream will be used. I loved the sponge and will try it out and even liked the lip tint!

Until next time!
