Top 10 Justin Bieber Songs From Purpose Album | TOP TEN

An upbeat song to some very meaningful lyrics. “I don’t want us to lose what we are” is the gist of the song.

To anyone who thinks that Justin cannot sing, listen to Trust. It has quite a “The Weekend” vibe to it. It also reminds me of another song but I can’t place my finger on what that is. The song is quite self-explanatory. Trust each other in your relationship if you love each other.

I will be honest, when I first heard it, I wasn’t too sure. I loved Where Are You Now and I didn’t think this song was better. The video confirmed my dislike – I don’t really like the whole sexy-women-all-over-Justin kind of thing! However, after hearing that clock tick 3 or 4 times a day in the radio, I soon began to like the song!

My sister loves this song. I didn’t at first, but then as she kept playing it over and over (and over) again, it grew on me. His voice actually sounds quite different on this particular track. The lyrics and hook are quite catchy.

I heard a lot about this song before the album was released, as Halsey is featured in it. I love the verses but not just a big fan of the chorus.

The message behind this song is beautiful and the lyrics show how much he has grown up over the last few years. “You’ve given me the best gift that I’ve ever known. You give me purpose” It is such a lovely song. It took a few goes listening to it, to really get into it as it’s not an upbeat song.

If you hated Justin Bieber, this song will have 100% converted you. It is completely different to anything he has done before. His voice is more grown up, he looks pretty good in the video and forget everything else. The actual music is second to none.

Whilst listening to the album, I was looking for a more upbeat song. The first 3 songs to be released were quite upbeat but I was hoping there would be another one. Been You is such a feel good song! The music is so chirpy and happy. I actually love his voice in this song as well. I find it really amazing how his voice compliments each song in a completely different way.

I’m sure everyone has heard Sorry by now. I applaud Justin at how amazing these tracks are and this is a huge favourite. The lyrics, the music, the beat, the video, the dancing! Both myself and E absolutely love this song and I am constantly playing it. I love the lyrics and can find myself singing along to it at all times of the day.

Speaking of lyrics, this song is actually my favourite from the whole album. When I first heard it, it sounded like it had quite the Ed Sheeran vibe to it. Later I found out that it was actually written/produced by Ed Sheeran, so that explains a lot! I love the message behind the lyrics. I think the music is lovely and simple. His voice sounds amazing! I constantly have this on repeat.

Until next time!

Socially Awkward… | RAMBLINGS

I never thought that I would be the odd one out in the room. When I was younger, I was actually quite popular without trying. I always felt like I belonged in a certain group. Somewhere along the line though, things changed.

I was at my work’s  team (early!) Christmas meal. We have a lot of different types of people in the team. The popular men and women who all meet up together outside of work, go clubbing and drinking together. Then there are the more quieter crowd.

As I was sitting at the table, watching everyone talk to each other, I realised I had pretty much been quiet the whole night. I felt awkward whenever someone did speak to me and you could tell that the conversation always ended on an awkward note!

It was only then that I realised that somewhere along the way I became socially awkward. I’m now the person that you will only sit next to if there is no one else available. I get asked to take all the group photos.

It doesn’t matter so much when I’m at home, with the husband and E. Even with my own family or my husbands family, I feel at ease. Maybe I’m just older now and priorities have changed!

Until next time………….

I am probably the most impatient person in the world. I don’t know what it is, but as far back as I can remember, I have always been impatient to stick to jobs, brands, situations etc. I thought it would be nice to blog about some of the things that I started but didn’t finish!

541963_4085238330540_95103096_n Nail art is quite popular these days, but back way then, I used to dabble here and there at it. I am a very creative person and enjoyed drawing a lot. Once I got into nail polish, it just felt natural to experiment with designs.

541360_3629456816287_1470311910_nThis Sesame Street design was one of the first ones I did. It took me well over an hour but the result was lovely! I had so many compliments from people at work the next day, who didn’t actually believe that I had done it myself. I am lucky to be able to look at something and draw it reasonably well.

20151023_171559 On Children In Need day, we had a dress down day at work. The aim was to wear something yellow and make an effort. I also did my nails in that theme. This also happens to be one of my favourites.

I’ve created a gallery of all my best nail art designs below. Enjoy!

The problem with Netflix….. | RAMBLINGS

With a little baby it’s not often that we get time to ourselves. Well, when E was very young, she did sleep a lot so we did actually have some time. Now she is 13 months old and awake a lot more than she sleeps! So we took her swimming and then went to a birthday party. By the time we got home, she had fallen asleep and we found ourselves with a few hours spare!

unnamedThe hubsy wanted to watch something on Netflix, which we never normally have time to do. “Pick whatever you want” he said. The issue with Netflix is that it’s such a tunnel, that drags you further and further into it, until you are so stressed out, you either pick the next thing on the screen or switch the TV off.

After literally 20 minutes of trying to find something that..

  1. We both hadn’t watched
  2. Looked remotely interesting
  3. Wasn’t an animated film (his request) or rude (my request)

.. I finally settled on Vampire Academy. It sounded familiar and I do love films like that so on it went!

It was quite a strange movie. I have decided that I did like it, but it was quite odd. The plot was simple but not fully predictable. Rose is a guardian and protector of Lissa, a royal Vampire (who doesn’t like to be called a vampire) They ran away from the academy (for reasons we don’t know about until the end of the movie) but are back and dealing with a whole lot of trouble at school. It’s basically bullying at school and death threats.

It was ridiculously fast paced but I thought the acting was good. I didn’t see any familiar faces apart from the female lead *checks google* OOH, she IS familiar! She was in Beautiful Creatures (awful movie) and TV shows Switched at Birth and The Suite Life on Deck.

Also, Vampire Academy is a book series, so I have to go and get those now!

Until next time!

Glossy Box November Review | BEAUTY

I am always looking forward to the next box, literally after the latest box arrives! I am even considering changing my subscription plan to annual, as I know that I love everything that I receive. When you work part time and look after a 13 month old, you find that there is no time spare to go and splurge money on yourself. On those odd times that I have the opportunity to go shopping, I never know what to buy! This is why I think the Glossybox is perfect for me.20151109_125325

So this is what I received in this months box.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

Full Size £7.99

20151109_125841I wasn’t expecting much from this lipstick. Glossybox gave you options to pick the shade that you wanted. I think I went for the berry colour but I received the nude instead. I already own a nude Revlon lipstick which I really DO NOT like and this was the same. The colour is lovely, it’s just the way that it settles on my lips. It makes them dry and it looks awful as it leaves cracks in my lips. I know that I wont be using this again.

MUA Eyeshadow Palette

Full Size £4.00

20151109_125850I have never purchased MUA products before, because I felt like they were quite cheap and therefore not good quality. When I had a look at the colours, I wasn’t too sure, as they are quite shimmery. I really dislike shimmery shades and this is why the Sleek nude palettes are my favourites. I did give it a go though and was pleasantly surprised to find that I really loved it. The colours are so pigmented and they have the right amount of shimmer in them. So far I have used all the nudes and have had a few compliments on my make-up! I also really like the sponge applicator. I will definitely be using this a lot!

Royal Apothic Body Lotion

Full Size £14.50

20151109_125935I was actually looking to purchase a good quality body lotion, as my skin is ridiculously dry. I have not tried this yet but it does look really good. It is meant to smooth the skin and keep it hydrated and you use it by massaging it into the skin after you have had a shower. I received a travel size, so if it does work on my skin, I know that I will be happy to pay the price for a full size.

Emite Diamond Heart Primer

Full Size £25.90

20151109_125906This primer is amazing. I have only recently really become interested in primers, having purchased the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer and I was looking for one that worked on my face. It 100% works as people have commented on how good my make-up looks lately. I normally used to find that at the end of a work day, my concealer and eyeshadow would be quite worn out. This primer has made sure that the product stays on my face. I think £25.90 is a bit expensive, but you only have to use a tiny amount so a full size bottle should last a long time. I love the packaging as well.

Eyelure Natural Lashes

Full Size £5.00

20151109_125900Who doesn’t love a pair of falsies! I used to wear them a lot before, always on special occasions. No offence to anyone out there who does this, but I don’t see the point of wearing false eyelashes EVERY day. I like the effect of adding falsies when I am attending a wedding or a party and people complimenting you as you look different! I am happy to get them as I will be using them at the work Christmas Party this year.

I am actually really happy with the box this month. Everything is useful and 3 products were full sized so I can’t complain! My favourite product in this box will have to be the primer!

As I’m writing this post, there are armed gunmen in the centre of Paris, who have killed over 60 people. Why? No idea.

I’m from England but this makes me so angry. How can people do this??? Why do they do it?? I cannot understand how you could just kill innocent people.

The other thing that bothers me is the religious side of it. I’ve already read one article which says the gunmen were Muslim and this stresses me out even more. I’m Muslim and I hate how much they ruin it for everyone.

It’s times like these where I get angry and wonder why God allows this to happen. He has made an amazing world for us to appreciate but we can’t go anywhere because all these places keep getting attacked by idiots. I don’t want to be afraid to go to Paris or Egypt or America.

I just don’t know how I can bring my daughter up in a world like this.

Top 10 Favourite TV Shows | TOP TEN

The Apprentice

The Apprentice. Totally different from the rest. Lord Alan Sugar is searching for a business partner. Follow his search to narrow down a number of hopefuls as they tackle challenges and prove themselves to be worthy. I love it because it’s funny to watch. The candidates might be successful in their own businesses but for some reason they are usually stupid on this show!

EastEndersEastEnders is a British soap. I hated it and never watched it until I got married (My husband is a HUGE fan) and now I can’t stop watching it either. It tackles real problems and keeps up to date with current affairs.

The Walking Dead

So gory. I never understood this show and didn’t watch it but one scene caught my attention. One little girl killed her sister and I thought WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? It’s basically the world after Zombies arrive. You meet Rick and the friend’s he makes trying to make it to safety.

Orange Is The New Black

I binge watched Orange Is The New Black on Netflix. It’s about Piper, who goes to jail for drug embezzlement. You see all the stories and backgrounds of all the inmates with her, relationships with the guards and what a women’s prison is like! A little bit too much nudity for me though.

The Vampire Diaries

I do love The Vampire Diaries though. What started off as two Salvatore brothers (Stefan and Damon) come back to Mystic Falls and one after the other fall in love with Elena Gilbert. That’s the gist of it, but SO much more happens . Currently Elena isn’t even in the show and it’s going strong.

The Originals

A spin off from The Vampire Diaries. Follow Klaus, Elijah and Rebecca as they take back New Orleans. Enter Haley – a werewolf carrying Klaus’s child and a whole load of witches, making this so much more interesting than the original show.

Suits is a law/comedy following Mike – sells drugs to make some quick money and has a photographic memory. Trying to escape the police he run’s into an interview for an assistant job at a law firm, for Harvey Spector. Harvey hires Mike as his assistant, even though he isn’t actually qualified – meaning serious illegal going ons! I love this show. It’s pure comedy.

Switched At Birth

Switched At Birth follows 2 girls, Daphne and Bay, who were switched at birth. They reunite with their biological parents and we find out that Daphne is deaf. The show follow’s their story on getting to know their biological family and dealing with what had happened, plus all the normal high school stuff! I love it because there is so much ASL as half the characters are deaf and it makes me want to learn.

Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars needs no introduction! 5 friends, 1 goes missing and turns up dead. Suddenly someone called “-A”  starts threatening the girls, exposing their secrets and lies. 6 seasons into it and we finally know who A is plus 1000000000 other twists and turns along the way!

Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time is literally about fairytale characters that forget they are fairytale characters and live in the real world! It has so many twists and turns, insanely good story lines and such good comedy. Emma Swan finds her way to Storybrooke by her son Henry, whom she gives up when he was born. She thinks she is just taking him home, but Henry is taking her home to break the spell on the residents of the town – to return their memories and take them all home to The Enchanted Forest.

You’ve got mail… | RAMBLINGS

I got a message in my inbox at work to say my mailbox was almost full and that I needed to clear some space. I decided to delete the oldest emails I had, since that seemed like the best option. Odly enough, I came across some of the first emails that my husband sent me. We actually used to work together (that is how we met!)

It was quite weird to read them. He seemed like a completely different person. We’ve only been married for 2 years and worked together for another 3 but he doesn’t really speak like that to me anymore. Just little things like “you’re looking beautiful today.” When I read that email, a little smile just crept on my face and it got me thinking of how it used to be.

Our first argument was about my wedding dress. He wanted me to wear white and I didnt. ( I did in the end!) Before that, we never argued or even raised our voices at each other. These days, when we argue, we can go days without speaking to each other.

How come some couples have it easier than others? Or do they? The grass always does seem greener on the other side. My husband is my best friend, I tell him everything. Sometimes though I get annoyed because we’ve been together this long and he still doesn’t understand simple things about me.

I don’t know. This was just a bit of a rant. Stupid work inbox! Making me take a trip down memory lane.

Sassy Bloom Box 3 Review | BABY

This will be the last Sassy Bloom box review, as I found it wasn’t worth it to keep paying £30 every month and receiving semi okay products. This is the October box. I’ve left it a while to review it as I wanted to use the products for a while before making a judgement on it.

20151028_190307I haven’t enjoyed the previous boxes but this looked really promising as it was full of what looked like some lovely toys!

First Steps Fun Gears Learning Toy RRP £7.99

This was the first toy saw and immediately wanted to play with. It’s a little toy where you turn the gear at the bottom and the rest of the spinning wheels turn.

PROS: Lot’s of lovely colours and the idea behind it is quite good. It’s quite a problem solving toy, I think.

CONS: At the moment, all she wants to do is take all the gears off the board. Eventually she will learn to put them back into place and then work out how to make everything turn.

Vital Cutlery Orange and Yellow RRP £4.99

I was quite happy to get this as I only have one cutlery set at the moment and you do need a few!

PROS: I actually really love this. We haven’t used everything yet, just the spoon and fork. She loves holding the fork in her hand and trying to get food onto it. I have found the grip on the cutlery is perfect for them to hold it properly and use it! I also love that the cutlery is not plastic, meaning food stays on the end when you pick it up.

CONS: Nothing! A really good product!

Munchkin Miracle 360 Sippy Cup Pink RRP £4.99

Even though I have been overall unhappy with the service, I love how the team know what parents are looking for each month. They always send something that you have been meaning to buy and this month I was looking for a cup. I am trying to get to drink out of a cup now, rather than a bottle (for milk) and it’s proving to be hard. This little cup came just in time!

PROS: I love the brand. I already have this in the smaller version so I know how the 360 degrees non spill thing works on it. It basically has little holes under the top for the liquid to come out of and if you tip it upside down it won’t spill. You have to suck at any of the edges to get the water out.

CONS: Unfortunately it does spill at times! My little monster loves to bang the cup against the table, so sometimes you do get spillage. Also, she still won’t drink milk out of it, so back to the drawing board!

Munchkin Lazy Buoyz Bath Toys RRP £5.99

I hate the fact that I get a bath toy every month. I have no space to put them anymore!

PROS: Nothing. They are colourful I guess, but I cannot think of anything good to say about these toys.

CONS: The toys are small. They don’t actually do anything. I think they are meant to scoop up water but we tried it and nothing happens. She likes toys that actually do something, in the bath, so these were a disappointment from the start.

B Kids Speedy’s Magical Shell RRP £9.99

This looked like a promising product! It’s a cute little snail with some balls in it’s shell. I guess the idea is that you can sort the balls into the right slots.

PROS: I like the idea of the shape sorting. She really enjoyed playing with the balls on their own! She looked a couple of times at the actual snail, but it didn’t really interest her as much as the little toys that come with it did.

CONS: A few things. Firstly, there is nothing speedy about Speedy. It doesn’t move. The little pink bit on top of the snails head is like a drumstick, which you can hit onto the shell (which is the drum) However, it doesn’t make a single noise and the actual drumstick looks very inappropriate (!) Also, when trying to slot the balls into the holes, they don’t fit through. They just sit on top so she couldn’t play with it on her own. Very disappointed.

20151028_190844    20151028_191735

TOMY Wibble Wobble Duck RRP £9.99

This little duck looked amazing in the packaging! It’s meant to be really fast and help the child crawl after it.

PROS: It’s a nice sized toy, nice colours? I can’t really think of anything nice to say.

CONS: This was not the right toy for my daughter as she is 1 years old and trying to walk, not crawl even more! The actual duck moves SO slow, I don’t know how it would encourage anyone to move along. You could probably just hold out your hand and pick it up as it’s moving along.

20151028_190855 20151028_191738

So this was the last box. I have now cancelled it (they said I might get one more box, due to the cancellation notice of 31 days) I think at the end of it, it was a mixture between the products and the service. I actually did like a lot of what they sent, but little things make a difference. Sending toys that are for 8 months old children, to a 13 month old child is not the best way to go!

Also, the service was not great. It wasn’t that they were rude – they were actually really polite. It’s just slow. I didn’t get the first 2 boxes on time and even when I cancelled they didn’t really care. They didn’t try to find out why. So I can’t afford to pay £30 every month for that kind of service.

Girl Online On Tour by Zoe Sugg | BOOK REVIEW

Girl Online On Tour

I could not wait till Zoe’s second book in the Girl Online series arrived in the post.  Why?

  1. Because I enjoyed the first book so much I wanted to see what happened to the characters
  2. I managed to get a signed copy!

Girl Online On Tour Signed

When it finally did arrive, I had to give myself a few days to fit some time in read it. In reality, once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one day! I just want to say that I am NOT disappointed. I absolutely loved everything that she did with the characters and in my eyes, the ending was perfect. Maybe not how people wanted it to end, but it was realistic and I love that about books.

For those who haven’t read Girl Online, Penny is back and her bag’s are packed! She is off to spend 2 weeks on tour with her rockstar boyfriend Noah. Unfortunately with his busy schedule, unwelcome band mates and a possible stalker, Penny starts to miss home, her friends and wonders whether this lifestyle is really for her.Girl Online On Tour Blurb

I can’t stress how well written this is. Last time there were a lot of issues with people claiming Zoe did not write the first novel herself but this time she was clear that she did write it, with help from her editor. Regardless, I loved it. I think she stayed true to the characters. It’s quite a bulky book actually, but there is so much to say and so many characters story lines that I think it is the right length.

My favourite character will have to be Penny and Leah. Leah is Noah’s “fake” ex girlfriend, who is a mega star in her own right and of course Penny is the main character.  They are both likeable and you cry, laugh, wince and moan with Penny! At some points in the book, Penny really started reminding me of Mia, from The Princess Diaries, by Meg Cabot.

I would rate this 5 stars! Weldon Zoe, you’ve really done us proud!
